It was a good day for fencing in Denmark this Saturday. 165 U17 boys and 122 girls participated in Copenhagen Cadet Circuit in beautiful Gentofte Hallen. The boys' competition featured French-Italian duels all day, all the way to the final. Titouan Chotin (FRA) won the title against Matteo Maisto Amodio (ITA). Sacha Pianfetti from France and Leonardas Kalininas (LTU) completed the podium.

In the girls' competition, the final featured two Russian fencers. Aizanat Murtazaeva won the title against Ella Minnullinna. Karoliine Loit from Estonia was again on the podium this year. She took bronze after a very close contest with Murtazaeva in a semi-final, that ended 15-14. Emilia Rossatti from Italy completes the podium.

The awards, sponsored by EFI/Wilkinson Swords, were given by Hans Toft, mayor of Gentofte, Jan Sylvest, president of the Danish Fencing Federation, and Lars Robl, president of Hellerup Fencing Club.

Russia swept the teams competitions on Sunday. Both girls and boys from the Russian national teams won gold. The Swiss girl team took silver and Estonia bronze. In the boys' event, Italy took silver and Italy 3 bronze.

Congratulations!
